Mr. Lloyd-George, in an articl« published in the National Review, claimi that Ave elections since the introduction of the Budget show a majority of voters for the Budget, and Bermonilsey van no exception. The enthusiasm'created by'the Budget means' that the country has risen in revolt against land monopoly. He suggests that the new State valuations must be the baiis for all plain of communal purchase, for municipalities for the development of towns, and for State re-creation of rural life. He adds: "We are freeing Ireland from a crippling landlordism; Is nothing to be done for England?"
