TWO-STORY BUILDIXO GUTTEL By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisborne, Monday. A fire early this morning gutted the two-story premises owned by Mr. Innts and occupied by Mr. McPherson, tailor. The brigade's good work saved M r . JWlerbeck's studio adjoining, which was damaged only to the extent of £SO by smoke. The insurance on the buildijg is £BOO, and on the stock £3OO. A SHOP DESTROYED. Greymouth, Monday. A fire thi6 morning completely gutted a shop owned by Mrs. Foot, of Wairoa, am! occupied by Mr. Eastgate, fruiterer, rfce adjoining premises, belonging to Mr. Holmes, a painter, were damaged.
