CONFESSION OF A CHEMIST'S APPRENTICE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invereargill, Last Night. Victor Emanuel von Tunzleman pleaded guilty to the theft of £29 from the Friendly Societies' dispensary, to setting fire to the premises, and attempting to chloroform Robert Pollock (manager). Accused had been employed aan apprentice in the dispensary, and resigned two months ago. All the stolen' money is accounted for. Accused was J committed to the Supreme Court for 1 sentence.
