POVERTY BAY SHOW.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Uisbornc, Last. Xignt. The Poverty Hay A. and I', show opened to-day in dull weather. Entries show a decrease compared with last year. The quality is up to the average in sheep, Romneys and Liucolns predominate, the former being a fine class. A. Kirkpatrick won the championship for Lincoln rain and ewe; McKenzie Bros, gained the championship for lioinney ram, and J. G. Field llumucy ewe. The champion thoroughbred stallion was Carringtou's Multiftd. Light horses were well represented, and the jumping competitions are a special feature of the show. Implements are absent, as a combination of New Zealand implement manufacturers have struck Poverty Bay out of the list of shows where ' these goods are to be exhibited.
