MOTOR DRIVER ARRESTED. CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. W. A. Humphreys, the driver of the motor-car' v, liiili met with an accident on Labor Day when returning from the volunteer manoeuvres at Yaldhurst, whereby Captain l'avitt lost his life, was arrested, to-day on a charge of manslaughter, lie was formally charged and released on bail, himself £2OO and one surety of C4(W. He is to appear before the Court to-morrow morning, when the police will apply for a further, remand.
