Foreman, who resigned his position as chairman and director of .the Tikorangi Dairy Company yesterday, can, 1 believe, claim the record for continuous long service, he having held the position for nineteen years. The directors unanimously passe.d a resolution expressing their appreciation of tiie services, rendered bv .Mr. Foreman during his long connection with the company. Mr. S. Knuckey was appointed chairman pro teiu. Maize is being largely grown tor autumn feed for the eows, and is spoken very highly of. although some fanners are inclined to favor kale if the feed flavor can be eliminated by pasteurisation.
The i-cpirt that a Farmers' Union meeting was to be held was evidently unfounded. The local branch appears to be in a precarious state, for, whilst not actually dead, it s'iiows no signs of vitality.

Mr. Rutherford, on behalf of the club, thanked Mr. King for his information, and especially for his' good work done doling last season, lie said that Mr. King had been one of the most consistent attenders and, he was quite safe in saying, (he. hardest worker.
