THE CHRISTCHURCH MURDER
INQUEST ON TUB VICTIM. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Lust Night. The inquest concerning the death of Alice Edith Newman, tl|c young woman who was fatally* shot on Monday in the Silver Grid boarding-house, was resumed to-day. Roberts, the'young man who is charged with the murder, was present in court, and appeared to listen attentively to the evidence throughout. Lengthy evidence was given, mainly bearing on conversations between accused and others before Monday night. The inquest was' adjourned till to-morrow. Roberts was again charged with murdering Alice Edith Newman, before Mr. T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., this morning, and remanded till Wednesday.
