HIGH SCHOOL BOARD
The monthly meeting of the High •School Hoard was held on Wednesday, when there were present: .Messrs Eraser (chairman), i'ercv-Sinith, MacDiarmid, Dockrill, J. K. Wilson, and Dr. Eoofes. •Mr. Glasgow was granted leave of absence.
Itefereiice was made to the plans which lmd been adopted for the new science room and laboratory to accommodate twenty-four pupils, dud which had been forwarded to the Education (Department for its approval, together Willi a claim for half the cost. The new room, which is to be built on the north side of the lower, is to be ready for the lirst term of 11)1(1, when tlw teaching of scenee will become a strong feature in the school.
It was resolved to give three months' notice t(i Mr. Fenton, as drawing will now be taught by a member of the staff. It was also resolved that the Board express its satisfaction with 11 -• way in which his duties had been carried out.
Accounts amounting to £l7'J 5s std were passed for payment.
