ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A GIRL STRANGLED. By Telegraph.—Pres9 Association. Invercargill, East Night. Hazel Foley, a girl aged nine years, was killed this afternoon by a windowsash dropping on her neck. The girl, with her sister, was playing in the garden of Mrs. Marshall, a neighbor, with the Marshall children, when their mother went out at 4 o'clock, locking the house. When she returned at 5.40 she found Hazel with her head through a window from outside, the sn»b resting on her neck. The window had been left propped open with n slick. The doctor said death was due to strangulation. FOUND DEAD. Invercargill, Last Night. The police at Quennstown report thai a. Chinaman named Wong Cong was found dead in his lint at Maori Point.
