HOSPITAL BOARD.
The Hospital Board met yesterday Present: .Messrs. F. C. Hellringer (c-liaiV-niau). .1. Harvey. J. IS. Hill. J. Brown. C. O'SullJvan, mid I). 11. .McDonald. The names of -Misses E. B. Youmr. Lake road. Hawcra. and (irate Catharine Parr, of rte Sanatorium. Otuki, were, added to tiie "outside-' list 0 f applicants lor nosition- as probationers. Dr. K. A. Walker, acting mcdieil superintendent, reported that during ■September there had been 2(1 patients admitted to the hospital, and 33 discharged. There was one death, fro.n senile decay, and 37 patients now remained in the institution. There was one ease of scarlet fever in the isolation block, and there were three cases of enteric fever. Nurse Lee -had been placed on the probationary staff of the hospital. .Mrs. l'arrar reported that there were now 2, male and 7 female inmates in the Old I'cople's Home. There had lieen two admissions during the month. Discipline was good. Account* amounting to £035 ICs 8(1 were passed for payment.
