THE WEST COAST SOUNDS.
U.S.S. CO.'S EXCURSION. Details of the routine of thfe two excursions to the West Coast Sounds by lite Waikare have been received by the local office of the Union Company, and particulars are advertised in this morning's paper. The Waikare on her first excursion to the Wost Coast Sounds will leave Dunedin on Thursday, December 23, and will arrive back on Wednesday, the 2!lth. On the second excursion | the will leave Dunedin on Thursday, D.'- ! leinlier 110, and will arrive hack on Wedj nesday, January 5. The route for I trips will be as follows:—From Dunedin to Preservation Inlet, then calls at Doubtful Sound, Hall's Arm, Crooked Arm, Bradshaw Sound and' Gear Arm. Than proceeds to George Sound, intj North, East -and South-West Arms, returning again, and proceeding on t*> Milford Sound, where she is due ahoat 4or 5 p.m. and the day appointed. The i whole of the next day will be spoait :n sight-seeing in various parts of Milford Sound. The Waikare is to leave Milj ford Sound in the evening for Jircntaea Sound, through Acheron Passage, visitI ing Wet Jacket Arm and Dusky Souni, Supper Cove, and then returns, sailing from Dusky Sound in the afternoon for Dunedin. where she is due early next day. The very modest fare ' asked should result in all accommodation being speedily booked.
