By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, October 14. Word was received to-day thai the steamer Gertie, whicli left on Wcdnei day week to search for the iiiissino Diieo, had arrived at Napier. She saw no signs of the Duco, Napier, October 14.

The steamer Gertie returned from a search for the Duco short of water. Captain Wliiteford, representing the Marine Department, reports that the Gertie cruised about 000 miles, but saw no trace of the Duco.
