DEPUTATION TO THE MINISTER. By Tclegraph.-Press Association. Wellington, October 14. A deputation representing the Hnwcri Council waited on the Mi:ii»t»r of Public Works to-day, and requested that the railway line to the Mount Iviiiont Quarry should be extended a distance of i% miles. lllc Minister replied that the question of making a tramway, uo t a railway, was one fur consideration by Oubinet, and that mat ter would be dealt with during the present session.
