IN THE ANGLICAN CHURCH. " DISCUSSION AT TIIE SYNOD. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. At the Anglican Synod to-day, t'.ie debate on Mr. Hunt's motion regretting the increase of high ritual which had come about in churches was concluded.

Mr. J. If. Upton suggested that he resolution might be withdrawn, as it had served its uso in promoting the debate on the subject. "I do nol.belive," concluded his Lordship, "that any man has anv right either to add or detract or to substraet from (he ritual of any sort or mode of conducting his services without the eonsent of the majority of his communicants."

Permission was then asked to withdraw the motion and was granted.
