EAST END CLUB. The New Plymouth East Flying Club held a race from Frankton Junction, <0 | the north route, a distance of 113 miles, yesterday. The bivds met with a quick despatch* leaving the breakwater by the Rarawa on Monday night, and arriving at their destination at 5.1,1 oil the morning of liberation. The day was* fine but a strong westerly wind prevented the birds putting up a good velocity. The placed birds homed very closely, on 1 )" seconds separating tliem.
