THE ELTHAM CLUB. The annual meeting of the Elthara Cricket Club was held on Friday night. Mr. J. Kenny presiding. The committee, in the course of the animal report, stated that the club was in a fairly good financial position The liabilities totalled 12 7k (id ami there was ,cl 2s 7d in hand. Hvde, C. Cooper, G. W. Taylor, J. MoVeagh, 11. F. Hade" E. Pnrrntt, H. Dive. C. A. Kelling. .1. o" Lording and Dr. Hanson; secretary and treasurer Mr. Gosson; captain. Mr. Sullivan; viee-captain, Mr. Wilkie; committee, Messrs Webby. White, Baxter and Lording; selection committee, cnpta:c, viee-captain and secretary; delegate to Association. Mr. Sullivan.

The subscription fees for the vear were fixed at. 7s fid for seniors and ?s for juniors.

Arrangements were made for stnrtin; practice almost immediately.

Mr. Baxter offered to donate a ball for the bowler with best average in cuii matches.

Mr. Bernard McCarthy lias written to the Kltham Club stating that he would be unable to continue the duties of secretary to the Association owing to pressure of private business and lie would be glad if arrangements were made for someone in Eltham to take up the work immediately after the annual meeting. He did not wish to see cricket in South Taranaki hampered by the want of some, one who could devote more attention than he to the Association's requirements. He had occupied the post tor the past ten years, and he must now ask for relief.—lt was. stated that tin Association would meet in Eltham this week.
