AN UNRULY MEMBER.
EJECTED FROM A LAND BOARD MEETING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisbornc, Saturday. A breeze occurred at a meeting of the Land Board to-day. The Commissioner ruled that Mr. Eustace Lane, a. member of the Board, could not refer to some Napier case when discussion was proceeding regarding the question of the Board's power to grant a transfer. Mr. Lane refused to submit to the Commissioner's ruling, except a maI jonty said he should do so. A constable was sent for, and on his arrival the Board's secretary touched Mr. Lane mi the shoulder and conducted Siim out of the room, the latter reniarking that an assault had been committed and that he had acted for the good of the country.
