KAST KXD CIA'IS. I The Xcw Plymouth Kast End Hying I Club held a lloek race from Wellington I on Thursday. The birds wore liberated at 8 a.m.. and word was received that a strong head wind was' blowing at the time of liberation. This prevailed during the whole of the journey, a p ul mitigated against fast times being recorded. The air-line measurement is 183 miles, aud the first four birds that timed in kept well -together, only tifty* (Seconds separating the first 'and fourth placed birds. Thirty-live bird*, representing eight lofts, competed, with the following result:—A. Lovcgroves j N'igger, (ihrs. liOsee., Ist; W. H. Tlie club's second hamper containing thirty birds was trained to Wellington yesterday.
