OAKUKA DAIUY COMPANY. The following is the eleventh annua) report and balance-sheet of the Oakum Co-operative Dairy I'actory Company, Ltd., for the twelve months ended 3l'<t August, 1909, to be laid before, the annual meeting of shareholders to be held in the Public Hall, Oukurn, on Monday, 18th October, at 1 p.m.:—"Your directors are pleased to present you wtth the balance-sheet for the eleventh year of the company's operations. The quantity of milk received shows a decrease of 207,1001b in comparison with the. previous year, and the directors hope that you will endeavor to considerably increase your supply during the coming season. The total amount of milk received was 5,212,(i071b, containing 198,870 lb of butter-fat, from which was manufactured -220,7101b of butter (9.) tons Bewt 141b), the overrun being 10.97 per cent. The average test was 3.81, and the quantity of milk required to make lib of butter was 23.011b. The sum of €8470 His 2d has been distributed amongst the shareholders, being at an average price of 10.23 d per lb of butterfat; £2o(l 8s 3d has been written off for depreciation, and a balance of .€0 4s -Id has been brought forward. The prospects for next season are satisfactory, although the prices being offered for the purchase of outputs are not so high as last season. Your directors have again sold the output (SeptemberMarclth the price received being 10 11-1 Otl per lb. Two years ago the directors saw the necessity of spending a considerable sum of money upon the company's buildings and plant to put them in first-class order. This work has been completed during the past winter. The company's buildings nnl plant are now thoroughly up-to-date and should cost very little for maintenance for some years to come. You will re required to elect two directors in plate of Messrs. T. W. Telford and J. Sansom, who retire in rotation and are eligible for re-election. It will also bo necessary to elect an auditor.
