Tallow sales—B49 casks were offered and 054 sold at a par to an occasional 3d advance. Silver, 23 13-10 d. Butter.—Ninety-three Australian and two Canadian butters were entered lor the colonial competition at the dairy show. In the salt class Queensland won lirst and second prizes and Victoria third. In the fresh class South Australia obtained second prize and Queensland third.

WEBSTER BUGS.' REPORT. Poultry.—On Saturday we had a large entry of poultry, for which the demand was in excess of the quantity obtainable. Prices realised were as follows:—PulIds 3s, poorer 2s 2d to 2s (id; cockerels 2s 3d to 2s lid, hens 2s 2d to 2s Bd, trio Indian Game Ss. roosters 2s 4d to 2s 7d, ducks (good demand) 2s 4d to 2s Bd, ducklings Is Id to Is 4(1. Mart. trees, potatoes, wheat, and sundries, at prices favoring the purchasers. Meat.—On Saturday morning we had a still larger supply of fresh beef and mutton, all of which was quickly cleared at the hammer at same prices as previous week's, namely: Sirloin (prime) 3'/ 2 d to 4'/ a d, rib 3d to 4d. brisket to 2'/ 2 d, roast 2y 2 d to 3'/ a d, corn 2d, rump 3V»d, round 2d to 3d; mutton, forequarters 2%d to 3'/..d, loin 3d to Si/ad, leg 4d to 4'/ 2 d, shoulder 3d to 3%d. Fruit.—This has been ill very small supply during the week; no New Zealand fruits were offered. Californian apples, lie; bananas, ripe lis (id to 12s, green 10s; oranges 15s, mandarins 9b. Omata.—Last Friday we had a good entry at our Omata yards. Bidding was brisk throughout for all except young stock. Prices realised were: Jersey yearling heifers £3 2s, yearling steers £1 si, Jersey bulls (young) £3 fls to £3 10s, young Holstcin bulls £3 4s, forward stores £2 16s to £3 4s 6d, springing cows £4 to £5 12s Od, 3-ycar springing heifers £5 10s to £5 12s fid, 2-year heifers £3 17s Od to £& 2s «d, old cow ß £1 12s to £2 Cs. Next sale 15th inst.

L. A. NOLAN & CO.'S REPORT. Poultry.—There is a very excessive demand for all classes of poultry, those penned on Saturday realising high rates. Farmers having birds to dispose of would do well to take advantage of the liigh prices ruling at present. We quote: Hens, ordinary Is lOd to 2s 2d, fat 2s 3d to 2s 7d; pullets 2s 5d to 3s Id, cockere's Is lOd to 2s 9d, roosters Is 9d to 2s Od, , ducks 2« to 2s Bd, turkey gobblers 5s Od to 6s fld, brooks ducklings 5s Od to Bs. Vegetables, plants, and furniture sold I well.

Fruit.—This is in small supply. Prices are about the same as quoted last week. Apples, Tasmanian Stunners 10s to 12s 6d; bananas Us 3d to 13s, oranges lis Od to 13s 6d; lemons, bushel cases 8s to 9s, small do 4s to 4s Gd; poor man's oranges 4s 9d. Island consignments to arrive Hit Monday.
