THE JULIUS KNIGHT SEASON. THE BREED OF TIIK fTRESIIAMS--TO-NIGHT. This evening, ul eight o'clock, the eurtiiin will rise upon a play new to Now Plymouth. "The Breed of the Treshams." It is a dramatic stage story, founded uiion the stirring events evoived during the reign of Charles 1., in the struggle between the Cavaliers and Roundhead;. The drama is said to abound in romantic situations, replete with action, clash of arms, and strenuous being, with a delightful love story running through it. Mr. Julius Knight will be seen for the first time here in what is generally admitted to be his finest characterisation— Lieutenant Reresby (a drunken, adventurous rascal, cynic, swash-buckler, and the sport of fate), a strong acting part in a play of exciting action and big situition. "The Breed of the Treshams" w.ll receive, we understand, special attentiou in the way of scenic elaboration, and much tuneful music is interspersed through the piece. Altogether, possibly something of a memorable occasion is [preparing jn theatrical circles in the production here of "The Breed of the Treshams."
