London wool sales. improvETprices. Received 3, 5.5 p.m. London, October 2. Wool—Of the wool catalogued Home buyers took (10,080 bales; Continental buyers, 32,000 bales; United States buyers, 6000 bales; held over, 3500 bales. Compared with July prices, good to medium greasy merinos were 10 per cent higher; best crosebreds, of the shabbier and top-making sorts and slines, were 10 to 15 per cent, better, medium slipes Bhowing the greatest advance. AH iambs' wool showed an advance of from 5 to T'/a per cent.
Yorkshire buyers throughout bought all classes eagerly, Germans were keen on merinos. The United States buyers bought largely of the best crossbreds. Th'c Gear clip sold at 10% d.
THE AUSTRALIAN DISPUTE. Received 2, 5.5 p.m. London, October 2. The Yorkshire Post, referring to the trouble in Australia, states that the Australian wool-brokers not only aspire to do the whole selling but also to regulate the offering of raw materials without consulting the convenience of those who have to buy. In this the brokers seem to be losing their sense of proportion.
