LATE SHIPPING.
ARRIVAL OF THE RAKAIA. . Dunedfo, Last Night.—The Rakaia arrived this afternoon from London. The officers explained the incident in which it was stated by cable that the vessel w«e not under control on August 2(i when about 900 miles west of Africa. The Rakaia was merely effecting minor repairs in the engine-room and was delayed only one hour. In so signalling she merely followed the usual practice. Sydney, Last Night.—Arrived, Eona, from Kaipara; James Craig, from X-nv Zealand. Sailed, at 1.30 o'clock, Victoria.
