By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast:—Cloudy and wet weather has prevailed, with moderate to strongly northerly winds. The temperature has been high and the atmosphere humid. The present indication? are favorable to thunderstorms, which will probably take place before the winds change to the S.W., as may be expected after from 24 to 30 hours. In the meantime strongly northerly winds and rain are probable, generally with heavy seas, north of East Cape, between Castlepoint and Knikoma 'and on the West Coast of the South Island.
