Senorita beat a good hors,> i„ Chief in the Hunt Club Cup at Marton ami has been showing good form right aloncr the line. The aged daughter o! Strcmfous is built on staying lines and has earned every pound of 12st. in the Hunters' Steeples at Lower Valley. The hurdler Whntaknra possesses a fair turn of speed and shaped well at Wangamii. His next start will be in the Ladies' Bracelet to-day, in which he is receiving Slbs from Tyrannic. Thetis was very unlucky at Wangamii, but should not be long in nick'™ up a good race.
Last year the Lower Valley annual meeting was held on December 20 an.] 28, but on account of larger meeting clashing, poor fields were seen out at Maryborough. The change to spring judging by the lengthy lisfof acceptors for to-day's races, has been a gnoj move.
Cyrene figures in "selling races" at the forthcoming Trcntham meeting.
