A FARMER'S SUICIDE. Ry Telegraph.—Press Association. I Wellington, Tuesday. I It'nink Maskill, a farmer,, aged 30, shot himself dead at Akatarawa,beyond tile Upper lfntt, yesterday. He left a note saying he intended to commit suicide. A BLASTING FATALITY. Gisborne, Tuesday. Thomas Bcid, a laborer, was killed at Wliarakaopae this morning whilst blasting was in progress. A piece of rock flew a distance of a hundred yards and hit Reid on the head, killing him instantaneously.
