The Times' special correspondent, cabling from Melbourne, says Australia had never before witnessed such a gathering of business men from all" parts ct the Empire. Iler people had been vlsioly flattered and deeply impressed, but the visitors perhaps had been far more deeply impressed with Australia and her wondrous possibilities. The correspondent next strongly emphasises the necessity of manufacturers of British goods adapting themselves In Australian conditions. He concludes by declaring (lint had the Congress not held a single debate it still would have accomplished a grent work in Australia. The visit had helped to clear away many misconceptions and would tend to strength** the consciousness of interdependence 'between the Commonwealth and Mptherland.
