WAXGAXUI SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. WANGANUI, Sept. 25. At the Supreme Court this morning Samuel Meatyard, late manager of the Wanganui branch of the U.F.C.A., was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment for falsifying the books. John Alexander Angus, against whom there were fifteen previous convictions, and who pleaded guilty to theft at New Plymouth, was sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment on each of three chargesand declared a habitual criminal.

DIVORCE COURT. WELLINGTON, Sept. 25. The petition of Nellie Nora Robertson lor the dissolution of her marriage with Edward Robertson on the ground of desertion, was dismissed to-day by Mr. Justice Chapman. Petitioner left her home at Gastleclill", Wanganui, in October, 1003, owing, she alleged, to the violence of her husband. His Honor held that petitioner had failed to prove her ease.
