DAFFODIL DISPLAY.
Committees were hard at work last evening preparing for the spring llower show and sale of work to be held IhisJ afternoon and evening in the Whitclcy Hall. Kntries are pood, and thev include exhibits from Messrs. S. W. Shaw. .1. 11. Frethcv, and .1. fiihson. three of our largest local growers. The Mnrsheail Nursery Co. and Mr. .1. I!. Run.-an. nurserviuen, will also make big displays. In order to provide amusement, committees have arranged an "art gallery" and a s'hooting gallery, whilst the ladies have undertaken the supplying and dispensing of afternoon tea and supper. His Worship the Mayor will open the function at two o'clock.
