Dr. Cook stated that he entrusted some notes of his observations with Sir. Whitney, a millionaire and explorer, who was on a "sporting expedition in thi! neighborhood of Etah. u Commander Peary telegraphs: ' I have no knowledge of Cook having aivcn Whitney any records.
