Messrs. T. E. Taylor and Henry Hayward will shortly present (by arrangement wilh. .1. <i. West) Pathc Frews' lealistie cinematographic play, entitled ''Drink," a complete art drama in two acts and scmu scenes.
In the Rolliiml Club rooms last Friday evening .Mr. Henry St, George, examiner for Trinity College of Music, London, gave a.n interesting address to 1 oc.ii 1 candidates for the College's examinations, their friends, and several persons interested i u music. Mr. St. George gave some good advice to'candidates ami cautioned them against practising right up to the time of (lie examination and ' making, themselves nervous, lie then showed his audience •Mi old-time viola, giving an interesting lesume ol the history of the instrument, iind playing several old-time and moocm pieces to illustrate the differences -m the music of yesterday and .to-day. Mr. St. George finished with a short'recital on the violin and on the piano, in whi -h l.e Hhowed himself to be a particular')' fine player, especially in a. Beethoven sonata. To all who were privileged to lie present it wm a real musical treat and _ii revelation to the students and candidates among the audience. During an interval, in which light refreshments were handed round, an opportunity was given teachers and others of interviewhi,; the examiner. The accompaniments for tile violin and viola items were played hi mi able and efficient manner liy Miss Smith, L.A.8., A.T.C.L. and Miss Clarke, A.T.C.L.
