TATTERSALL'S RACES. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received 12, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, September 12. At Tattcrsall's races, the results were:— Chelmsford Stakes—Prince Foote 1, Artillerie 2, Malt King 3. Spring Handicap—Byplay 1, Ra 2, Blue Book 3. Kairoma annexed the hurdle race.
The many friends of O. Parker, wlio used to be well known as a trainer and prepared Star Rose for his sensational victory in the New Zealand Cup, will regret that he was seized with a tit early last week and died in the Hawera hospital on Wednesday (says tlie Stratford Post). A movement, which met with liberal response, was at once set on foot amongst owners, trainers and jockeys for the purpose of erecting a manument at the head of his grave.
