PETROLEUM.

Work is progressing very favorably •t No. 3 bore, and it is hoped to shortly make another test to see whether or not the water has been effectively shut off. A test of the gas pressure in the tore was made, the gauge registering the full capacity of 2501b. The full pressure of gas is not yet fixed, as the gauge could not register beyond the above pressure. When the pressure was relieved, a barrel and a half of pun oil flowed on its own account.

The total depth of the well is 2617 feet
