RESPECTING THE SABBATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Friday. A deputation representing the Wellington Ministers' Association and <the Sunday School Union .waited on 'he Hi'ii. <!. Fowlrls, at- AWng-Mnistar for Defence, to protest against what is understood to be a proposal to hold a combined church service of volunteers and school cadets on Dominion Dav, which this year falls on a Sunday, the argument being that such a parade would materially interfere with the attendam* a * the 'Sunday Schools. The Hon. Mr. Fowlds S aid"Tt w n = hie express desire to have recognition of the Sabbath m connection with Dominion Day observance. Arrangements were now in the hands of the officers commanding the districts, but he instructed that if objection were made to a combined service, arrangements should be made for an ordinary church parade and that members of the volunteer and cadet corps could assemble at their owj churches.
