The total of the shipments to Europe during the week was 875,000 quarters. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited, Stratford have received the following cable from their London house under date 30th inst.— Frozen Mutton:—Market slightly improved. Frozen Lamb:—Market steadier. Frozen Beef (sides):—Fair enquiry. LONDON PRODUCE REPORT. Mess'rs. E. Griffiths and Co. are in receipt of the following market report from their London principals, Messrs. Mills and Sparrow, dated Julv Kith. 1009:- . Butter.
■Danish.—Quotation this week is unchanged, and the advance of last weekis barely made, but no reduction is anticipated, as the quantity of choicest is likely to decrease. .Siberian.—This week's arrivals total about 22,000 casta, and some of the butter appears to have come through great heat. There is a good general consumptive demand, and very little is going into store. , Supplies should continue about this, level for the next few weeks, and if the consumption is sufficient to clear the butter, then we may look for much higher values when shipments decrease.
French.—Markets in France are linn, and as the trade here continues) good we look lor an advance in price in the near future.
Australian and New Zeala-ad The few butters in store are moving oil' slowly, and we expect to open the new season with bare boards. Buyers are already beginning to inquire when they may expect the first arrivals of new season's butter. It is to be hoped that the season will start early, as; it seems that choicest quality will be badly wanted here by the autumn. Cheese. New Zealand.—There is practically none offering at the moment, the s.s. Arawa shipment being well cleared. A\"e
are pleased to see. that shipments are hing made still, as many buyers will lie able to continue using these right oil'. Canadian Chees'e.—Tlie market is a little better, and reports say the make will not he so large as last year. W« shall, therefore, he surprised if values recede any further.
