LADIES' COMPETITIONS ON NGAMOTU LINKS. I The ladies' golf tournament on the ' Ngamotu links Commenced yesterday morning. At the start the weather was dull and threatening, and soon a heavy drizzle set in, resolving itself into a downpour in the afternoon. The bcey handicap had accordingly to be postponed, and this fixture is set dow,-„ for this morning, to follow the medal handicap.

Stanford plays Mrs'. Gray, Mrs. Saunders plays Miss Brewster, Miss Stephenson plays Miss Gresson. In the putting competition Mrs. E. Saunders', Misses Anderson, Brewster, and Standish tied for first place, and will play off to-day. This afternoon an approaching competition and a driving competition will be played.
