ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A MAN POISONED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. At an inquest to-day concerning th» death of Vincent Ferrar, who died from drinking lysol, a witness, an Italian, who bad resided in Auckland, where bis wife is a doctor, said he had asked deceased before he died if he had swallowed lysol, and the answer was "Yes, I did." A verdict was returned that deceased died from the effects of poison, but then w»» not sufficient evidence to show whether' it was taken accidentally or intentionally; the coroner having come to that ' conclusion owing to the fact that a small flask of whisky was found in o» on a chest of drawers with a bottle of lysol.
SUICIDE AT ELTHAM. Dr. Harrison was called in and found that death had taken place some hours previously. Aa deceased had only been working with Mr. Riddle for less than a week little is known of him and no cause can yet be assigned for the act. A tt inquest wJB be held.
