PARENTS ARRESTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Friday. Tlie inquest 011 the infant eiiiM of Uoliert John and Josephine Olive Xeill had a sensational ending, the jury returning a verdiet in aeeonhinee wit.i the medical evidence tluit the child had been wasting away for three weeks. The mother of 'the child stated tint she put the child to lied at 4.30 p.m. and s'he retired herself a( 8 p.m. Tli child slept till -2 a.m. when it awoke screaming. She rubbed it with oil and gaie him a hot Iwllt while her husband ran for a doctor. Then child was dea l when the doctor arrived. Xeill and wife (the former is 21 years of age and the latter IS years of age) were arrested and charged with manslaughter.
