Messrs H. Baily and M. Fleming, representing the promoters of the New Plymouth to Opunake motor service, waited on the Opiraake Dairy Company at their annual meeting on Thursday to ask for support of producers from that end. As the company is under a cartage contract for a further term of one year, the shareholders of the company did not see their way to take up shares at once, but were prepared to give the matter further consideration at a future date.—Star.
