Prices realised were: Cockerels (good) 2s to 2s Oil, roosters Is Td to 2s 2d, hen* 2s Od to 3s, old Is lid; pullets, good 2s 0d to 2s lid, poor Is lid to 2s 4d: ducks, 2s 8d to 3s. Fox terrier pup, sb. In the mart we sold consignments of hams, bacon, and table potatoes at satisfactory prices. Fruit trees were in demand.

Fruit—During the week we have had heavier consignments, of apples chiefly. Notwithstanding this the market is still firm for choice deserts. We quote: Prime Nelson Sturmers 10s 0d to lis, seconds 8s to 9d, red desserts 10s to lis, seconds Os 3d to 9s Gd; Island oranges (short supply) 13s to Ios; lemons 9s Od to 10s 6d, half-cases 4s 0d to ss; bananas, green 8s Od to Os Od, ripe and turning l ; Kid to 2d lb; mandarins, 8s to I)*; broccoli on, local 3s Od, pumpkins 2s 0d sack. Omata.—At our Omata yards on Friday last we had a big entry of all classes of stock. Springing cows and heifers were in demand and .sold well. Weancrs made Od to 34s Gd, store cows £2 5s Od bo £2 los Od, forward cows £3 12* 0d to £4, 2-vear bulls £2 5s to ,£2 17s Od, springing cows £4 10s to £3 2s Gd, springing heifers £3 10k to £5 los, 2-year empty heifers £2 13s.
