Open Hack Handicap—Overtime 1 Captain Bell 2. A good finish. Time! 52sec.
Hunters' Handicap Hurdles—Kamo 1, Lochguard 2, Waterworks 3. Won by a length and a-half. Time. 2min s!)'/.see. Open Hack—Apollonaiiii 1, Captain Bell 2, Quicltmarch 3. Won by a head. Time, lmin 5 l-ssec.

Following are the results- of tile Wairarapa Hunt Club Steeplechase meeting, held at Taratahi, near Carterton, today:— Hunters' Hurdles—Sir Lethe 1, Indian Mutiny 2, Retinue 3. Also started; Clovial, Jet de More, Maringa Hill, Lass, on by several lengths. Time, 3min, Handicap Flat Race.—Merrie Land 1, No Trumps 2, Merrie Christinas 3. Also started; Matira, Leerctius, Golden Rein, Corinella, Fi Fie, Niseh,. Franzaska, Terena, Musketeer, and Skye. Won by two lengths'. Wairarapn, Hunt Club Steeplechase, about 2'/ 2 miles.—Retinue 1, Hill Lass 2, Firestick 3. Also started: Moonlight Laddie, Tui, and Kildoon. Won by three lengths. The New Zealand Turf Register for tile past season lias been issued by the Christchurch Press. Company, Christchurch. The volume consists of 572 pages. A new feature will lie found in the special announcements respecting stallions standing for the season. Basides the complete reports of all race and trotting meeting-, past winners of the principal races in the dominion, entries for forthcoming classic events, the season's statistics reports of blood stock sales, and list of registered racing colors, etc., the new Rules of Racing ate included in the Register.
