There have already been n large number of enquiries in regard to it, and a record application list is expected. The Lands Department have lately entered into negotiations for the pur- , chase of further portions of the Teuk.ni block, situated to the north and south of the portion already purchased, that to the north being the property of til? Xgatitahinga tribe, whilst that to the south is owned by the Tainui tribe.
