There were unpaid accounts from this show amounting to £ls 18s 3d, and there was a small credit balance. Assets comprised pens, £SO; liabilities, £35 0s sd. ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
Upon proceeding to the election of officers, Mr.' Teed insisted upon being relieved of the office of president, but consented to act on the committee. Several members proposed for the new ' committee declined to act unless Mr. Xeed gave them the benefit of bis experience. Mr. H. J. Hobba pressed hard to be relieved of the secretaryship, but yieldled to the unanimous desire of the meet- . ing that he should hold office for another fear. Very eulogistic reference wta made to the result of his year's work. Officers were elected: Patron, Dr. *i. I. Fookes; president, Mr. S. W. Shaw; pice-presldents, Rev. Butler, Messrs. H. Okey, MJ?., 6. Tisch, M. Rudd, R. Cock; secretary, Mr. H. J. Hobbs (re-elected); treasurer, Mr. T. King; committee, Messrs. H. Moverley, & Brooks, V. Beat, T. Francis (pigeons and cage birds), A. T. Moore, J. J. Staples, H. Tiplady and F. Boulton (poultry), F. W. Sandford, H. J. Gilbert, G. W. Browne, and 6. Teed (home industries, school work, and general), and officers ex-officio. A vote of thanks was accorded the outgoing officers, the ladies' committer, and judges, and others who assisted. The meeting decided that in future birds entered in teams classes shall not be eligible for open classes and championships. It was decided .to call the committee , together at an early date, to take steps to extinguish the society's liabilities, revise the schedule, and so on. Votes of thanks to the Coffee Palace proprietary for the use of the iVkmh, and to the chairman, concluded the meeting.
