Tho official enquiry showed that to* cause of the Maori disaster was the abnormal inset due to a heavy gale, Tb* captain and officers were exonerated. ' THE MISSING CREW. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington Tuesday. The following Is a list of those of the crew missing from the Shaw, Savill liner Maori which was wrecked near Capetown:— Deck Department.—Captain Nicole, Pearee, Rowlinson, Probyji, Lines, Oorbin, Stych, Inch, Hart, Pope, Gladmao-, Bartlet't, Loncy and Cox. Engine Department—Calvert, Beak, Brady, Attridge, Fenwick, Hooper, Gimn, Smith, Heighton, Goodwin, Wilson, Tosdcirn. Stewards—Hicks, Anderson, Addison, Archer. Besides these are refrigerating engineer Hutchinson and greaser Devirr, who are known 'to be drowned.
