IMPERIAL GOVERNMENTS PROPOSALS ACCEPTED. By Sable—Press Association.—OopyrigM London, August 10. The Imperial Government's proposals hove been accepted by the Defence Conference. They provide the following: Interchange and mobility of force* i» all parte of the Empire. Organisation, training, equipment, arms and manoeuvre* on the saute Unas as those at Home. An active Interchange of officers. An Imperial General Staff, which will contribute to uniformity of the force* as also to the training colleges in the colonies on the lines of the Ooniberley Staff College.
THE NAVAL CONTRIBUTIONS. NO DIFFERENCE OF OPINION. PROTECTION OK THE PACIFIC Received 17, 10.20 pjn. London, August 17. Tho Times' Ottawa correspondent states that there is no difference between the Admiralty and the daughter States regarding naval contribution*. There is' an opinion that both Canada and Australia will persist in their decision for the allocation of ships on Canada's Pacific coast. The countries will not be satisfied with any decision of the Defence Conference which lea vet the Pacific free to an enemy.
