OPERATIONS AT MOTUHOA. Mr. Berry reports re the No. 2 well of the Taranaki Petroleum Company, Ltd., that everything is going on very smoothly and without any drawbacks so far. Eight lengths of casing have been perforated with about 730 %h. Sioles, or, with the new pump strainer ; 800 holes were bored, not two of which were on the same horizontal plane. After 12.30 on Friday the work of re-1 placing the casing was commenced by Driller Erlandson and stuff, and up to closing down time on Friday night about 720 feet, mostly in, single lengths, had been replaced, and up to noon on Saturday a furtlier 830 feet was put in, makjjii 1550 feet replaced.
