The Temple of Jerusalem was built by Solomon in 1012 8.C., and was consecrated in 1004. Jill 1171 it was pillaged by Shishak,' but was repaired by Joash iii 850. It was profaned by Ahazii'j 740, and restored by Hczekiah in 720. Again it was pillaged and fired, this time bv Nebuchadnezzar in 588-587. It was rebuilt in 530, only to be again pillaged by Antiochus in 170. It was re-built by Herod, and finally destroyed bv Titus, A.D. 70.
