SERIOUS DROWNING FATALITY
IN AUCKLAND HARBOR. THREE LIVES LOST. By Telegraph.—Press Aswwiation. Auckland, Last Night. A boat belonging to the mission steamer Sonthem Cross capsized in the harbor to-night, the chief engineer (A. Rae), the chief steward (T. Mealand), and a native boy named Jimmy being drowned. Four others had a "narrow escape, liehg in the water for some time before they were rescued by a ferry steamer.
