CHDJAMAN HEAVILY FIXED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchureh, Wednesday. A Chinese named Low Tye was fined £IOO in,the Magistrate's Court to-day for having opium in a form suitable for smoking in his possession and for having concealed it at Christchureh.
A BIGAMY CASE. Wellington, Wednesday. William McLean pleaded guilty at the Police Court to-day to a charge of bigamy at Dunedin in 1903, and was remanded to the Supreme Court for sentence.
CHARGE OF PERJURY. Christchureh, Last Night. 'At the Magistrate's Court to-day Hans and Jennings Moffat Shaw were separately committed for trial on charges of having committed wilful and corrupt perjury bv falsely swearing at the Magistrate'.; Court on July lfltli that Jennings Shaw was not on the 10 p.m. car to Addington on July 13th, and that he did not use olweene language nor assault a conductor.
