A MINER KILLED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ■ Westport, Monday. George Miller, a miner, was killed by a fall of coal in the Ironbridge mine at Denniston.
KILLED OX THE RAILWAY.
Auckland, Monday. James C'Oyle, an elderly man employed on the railway co-operative works* at lapum, was run over bv a truck and killed instantly.
DEATH OF A WOMAN. ' Wellington, Monday. Mrs. D. J. Kenny, wife of an Island Bay resident, was found hanging in her bedroom yesterday, quite dead. Deceased bad been unwell and under surveillance.
Wellington, Last Night. At an inquest on Mrs. Kenny, who •anged herself at Island Bay, a verdict ivas returned of suicide while of unbound mind.
A CONTRACTOR DROWNED. Hastings, Monday. The body of the man drowned at Tulcituki on 10th .Julv has '-eeii recovered and identified'as that of Neil Duncan, contractor, of Elsthoipe.
BOATING FATALITY. Westport, Lust Xight. A man named Jack Johnson, a Norwegian, who came to this district from Greymnuth about two years ago, having left a Norwegian ship thorp, was drowned at Little Wnnganui on the 16th inst., through a boating accident. The body has not yet been recovered.
